Who signs the players
Four franchises
and the free agents
A franchise is a company that regroups players in the league. A professional may contract with one, and carries it with them to every stop they play. It is not a team in the bracket — every game on the Pro tour is one player against another — it is who they are signed to.
A player contracted to no franchise is a free agent. There is no waiting list and no window: a free agent plays exactly the same calendar, for exactly the same money.
